Miniature cold cast aluminium resin plaque

Measauring 210mm/21cm/8 inches approximately

Weight 550g Approximately

This is a miniature keepsake piece of a larger sculpture I created in early 2021.

I was commissioned by Stonewater Housing Association to create a piece of public art for a new housing development 'Wheatfields' in Hanslope. The brief was to capture and represent the history of the beautiful Buckinghamshire village. I designed and sculpted a bas relief piece incorporating elements of the village's history including lace from the famous lacemaking in the local area, the clock designed by Jospeh Knibb, a local clockmaker, the beautiful wheatfields and agriculture of Hanslope and most importantly, the iconic landmark St James Church which I can see from my workshop window.

The original piece I sculpted was a 90cm piece in clay from which I made a huge mould. This was then taken to the foundry where it was cast using the lost wax technique. The piece can be found on Harvington Crescent, Hanslope.

I have now spent time creating this beautiful smaller piece in cold cast aluminium resin for people to have in their own homes or gardens. The minauture bas relief will arrive beautifully gift wrapped with a signed certificate of autheticity.
